Pronounced lime and grapefruit, with mouth-watering acidity carrying the bright fruit through to a long finish.

Pale yellow with green reflections. Blossom, lemon and peach, with a fresh mineral finish. The label reads 'Trocken' — German for dry.

Garnet red. Ripe red and black fruit, a hint of liquorice. Velvety tannins, intense blackcurrant, lingering finish.

Veneto — Italy
Hillside-grown on the Colli Berici south of Vicenza — cooler nights, lower yields, more flavour. Spumante, not frizzante: same pressure as Champagne.
Light straw yellow, fine bubbles. Pear and floral hints, bright clean palate, very dry finish.
